What can you tell me about Sullivan Street in NYC?
Q. I'm looking for information related to the type of surroundings that make up Sullivan Street. Is it any artsy location, yuppie community, etc. I believe Sullivan Street is in the village.

A. I was just there on Sunday 1/14. Yes, it's in the village. It's mostly cool restaurants, and artsy boutiques. For many years, it was home to the Sullivan Street Theater, which put on The Fantasticks during its entire existence. They closed down several years ago.

A. Smart casual, like really nice clothes but casual ones. Nice pair of jeans or skirt, silky top and a nice pair of shoes, make sure you dont look too dressy though. Have fun!

In Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, who would be considered the main characters?
Q. I mean, in order of importance and lines, who would be considered the major, then decreasing. I know that most lists online list the Major General first, but the plot doesn't revolve around him. What should the list be? I completely understand (and already was aware of) your points; I also have experience in theater. At least you attempted to come off considerately, unlike many answerers on this site. Thanks for that. I know there are no 'small parts' and that the parts play off of each other. I was only asking in terms of lines. Perhaps I should have worded differently; my mistake.

A. I AD (Assistant Director) and Stage Managed this show once. Not to be rude...but there are no small parts in theatre, even the ones with no lines have a purpose on stage. They build relationships as their character to perform on stage and the other characters respond to that. If you want to go with "MAJOR" Characters than it would have to be: The Pirate King Frederic Ruth Mabel Major General But there are no main characters, the other characters are in the show as well because they're just as important... if they didn't matter Arthur Sullivan and W. S. Gilbert wouldn't have put them in the show. I'm sorry if I'm coming off "you know whatish"...It's not my intention to come across like that. Just trying to educate.
