NounSingular photo Plural photos photo (plural photos) From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A photograph (often shortened to photo) is an image created by light falling on a light-sensitive surface, usually photographic film or an electronic imager such as a CCD or a CMOS chip. Most photographs are created using a camera, which uses a lens to focus the scene's visible wavelengths of light into a reproduction of what the human eye would see. The process and practice of creating photographs is called photography. The word "photograph" coined 1839 by Sir John Herschel and is based on the Greek φώς (phos), "light" + γραφίς (graphis), "stylus", "paintbrush" or γραφή (graphê), "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light". I read something about being able to take a photo that was printed on an ink-jet printer, and rub it onto reg. paper. Does anybody know the exact procedure on how to do this? Do you have to do it right away after printing the photo? It said something about spraying the picture with water then using a credit card to press it onto the other paper. And if anyone has any other cool ideas for transfering or transforning a picture please tell! Asked by KK - Sun Apr 27 14:26:08 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Ink jet images won't work as well as photocopies or laser prints for "transferring" onto another surface unless the ink jet images are printed onto "transfer papers" which will easily release the ink. It can be done though... you'll just get a much lighter version of the image. If you just want to put the image onto a different sheet of paper though, the best bet would just be to photocopy or scan the image, then print it there. There are loads of ways to "transfer" images though... so many it's hard to go into them all. Some are easy (but may work only with certain machines/papers/technique s), some are harder or more fiddly. You can check out a lot of different ways to actually "transfer" images to other surfaces (to clays, wood, [cont.] Answered by Diane B. - Mon Apr 28 12:24:24 2008 How do I download a photo editor so i can stretch my face and what not ?
