How can your record on a VCR from a Digital TV the Digital channels?
Q. We recently purchased an impressive 26" wide-screen Bush HD-ready TV ( Model: IDLCD26TV05HD). We have managed to connect it to our DVD, VCR video and satellite box for Sky. Everything is working fine and we can tape record programmes on all our analogue (terrestial) and satellite (sky) channels BUT how can we record video tapes on this digital television from the digital channel? There is no separate digi-box. The digital channels are in-built into the TV. We have scart leads connecting each of these items but just cannot locate the digital channels on our video set up ? I have even tried addition jack connections but this did not work either. Can anyone advice me how we can tape the digital channels on to our VCR? Thanks Dave P

A. Check if your TV has a video out port (most likely composite - yellow RCA connector). If it has, connect that output to your VCR's input

What digital camera would you recommend?
Q. I'm looking for a decent digital camera to use primarily for shooting flower arrangements against white backgrounds. Quality and focus are the major concerns here as most of the work will be closeup/macro. A good zoom lens and SLR are a plus for general purpose shooting. What camera(s) would you recommend in the under $600 price range?

A. I recommend to anyone seriously contemplating the purchase of a new digital SLR camera to consider these two primary questions: 1. How much money do you have to spend??? $500.? $800.? $1,500.? 2. What level of photography do you aspire to "progress to" in the coming years ? (i.e. basic beginner, intermediate, or professional/business use). For most beginners to intermediates I usually suggest one of these two manufacturers: Canon vs Nikon 1. Canon EOS Rebel model XSi. What type of Digital Camera should I buy?
Q. My current digital camera has worn out its welcome and I need to know what digital camera I should buy. I am looking for a camera that doesn't require batteries. I want one that I can charge up. Also, I want one that can take pictures fast. My current camera takes the picture about 5 seconds after you push the button. Those are really my only two requirements. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I meant double A batteries. I have to change my batteries in my camera that I have now after 5 pictures.

A. I loved my Kodak EasyShare and it took wonderful pictures until my son decided to throw a ball at me while I was taking pictures. Everyone always commented on the great pictures I took when I had that camera. We replaced it with a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. The guy at the professional camera store tried to tell me that it's not the camera that takes a good picture but the person taking the picture. Well, he was wrong. I absolutely HATE the Panasonic camera. The pictures are always blurry or out of focus. My husband is a CSI and uses a very expensive camera at work, so I let him use my camera thinking that maybe I was doing something wrong. His pics turned out just the same as mine.
