Blake is a surname or a given name which originated from Old English. Its derivation is uncertain; it could come from "blac", a nickname for someone who had dark hair or skin, or from "blaac", a nickname for someone with pale hair or skin. Another theory is that it is a corruption of "Ap Lake", meaning "Son of Lake".

Blake was the name of one of the 14 Tribes of Galway in Ireland. These Blakes were descendants of Richard Caddell, alias Blake, who was involved in the Norman Invasion of Ireland in 1169.

The Origins of the name Blake is also considered to be Old Norse first appearing in England Yorkshire, possibley derived from the word Blaker referring to a village and a former municipality of Akershus county, Norway East of Oslo

Blake often refers to the British poet, painter and printmaker William Blake (1757-1827) or to the contemporary figurative artist Blake (sculptor).

A. I love Laurell's books and only finished Skin Trade last week, which seems to have gone back to some of her earlier writing, only a couple of sex scenes in it, and only a handful of characters that are in her other books. A couple of new ones and some really interesting twists, I just wonder where she will take Anita next!! Did you also know they are making a Tv series out of the books.

How can I get Blake Lively's wavy hair without curling irons?
Q. I already have wavy hair like Blake (Serena from Gossip Girl) when I let it dry naturally in the summer. The thing is that I get sick very easily in the winter so I can't let it dry naturally and when I blow dry it it gets flat. I just want my waves to look beautiful in the winter just like they do in the summer, but without the curling irons. I don't need them and I do not want to damage my hair. Please help me!!!

A. wash your hair then twist it and put it in a tight bun overnight it will be a little damp but the curls come out great and if they are too curly then just use a straigter on low heat on them =]

How can I get my hair blonder, like Blake Lively, without dying or highlighting it?
Q. My hair is light to medium brown hair. But I really like blake lively's hair in " The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." How do I get it so it is more blonde. P.S it's winter so I can't go outside!

A. Technically you'd have to bleach it lighter, but there's no way to make it lighter without bleaching it. Even sun-in and stuff like that is a chemical that bleaches your hair.
