Earthwork Calculation?
Q. I am stuck on a problem in earthwork. I want to know how we calculate adjusted cut or fill...shrinkage factor of 0.85 STA - vol. cut - vol. fill - Adj. cut - Adj. Fill 287 --- 211 --- 69 --- 248 --- 81 288 --- 189 --- 133 --- 222 --- 156 respectively. i have these numbers but don't know how to calculate the Adjusted cut and fill...can someone help?

A. Cut in this station = (248+222)/2 * 100 Fill in this station = (81+156)2 * 100 Crunch the numbers and subtract you will find a net adjusted cut.
